What if to fill Leslie’s position they hire Mark.
NBC is like that rich friend you had as a kid.
Even when they’re clearly lacking some logic, they’ve got cool shit.
I got high and rewrote Parks and Recreation as a hard-hitting drama in my head. Here are the facts:
- Leslie is roughly the same person with a lot of the same mannerisms. The only difference being she’s quickly becoming a colder, lonely person. She devotes too many hours to her work and very few on her personal life. She’s afraid to commit and sometimes, afraid to love.
- Ben is a similar Ben but more like a season 2/3 Ben where he started out an enemy, he has become her colleague and soon to be close friend. Their relationship is just taking a longer time to blossom.
- Ron has hated women ever since his mother walked out on his father when he was a small boy. He has no trust for them, and never has. He dropped his walls around Leslie as she earned more and more respect from him. They dated briefly in season 1 but realized their relationship didn’t work like that. Leslie is still the only woman he can trust, but we see him opening up more and more as the show progresses.
- The character Jerry only appeared on season 1. Shortly before the finale he took his life.
- Ann Perkins is more of a wild card. She’s always been bisexual and her last long, serious relationship was with another woman. When things ended and she moved to Pawnee she developed her first crush on another man in several years: Andy. Ann stays quiet about her feelings even when she sees Andy fall for April and marry her.
- Chris and Ann have the same relationship. The only difference is that they will for sure end up together when everything is over. The way they get back together is that once Chris analyzes his current hardships and low feelings every day he felt almost sick. Thinking he was, he went to the doctor. While Ann came in to ask his symptoms, she informed him that she thought he was depressed. Chris is currently still in the middle of admitting it to himself. He’s always been optimistic, healthy, and happy, so he can’t grasp or believe he’s become depressed.
- Mark,who only dated Leslie in Pawnee, returns in season 3. Since in this show Ben and Leslie’s feelings are still progressing, his return changes a lot of things. When Mark returns he realizes someone is very different than the way he remembered them: April. It is possible that something happens to bring them together, but it’s also possible Andy and April stay together. I don’t know which I would pick.

Probably the second. Shit went down and got all depressing and then went down again.

Well there aren’t that many so I’ll say Chris and Jerry’s daughter. Every time I see him now I’m just like STFU CHRIS NO ONE CARES THAT YOU’RE BONING JERRY’S DAUGHTER. YOU GAVE UP RASHIDA JONES, CHRIS. RASHIDA FUCKING JONES.
7. How long have you watched 1?:
I didn’t start it when it came on. I probably picked it up when it was one season 3. After that I went back and caught up via Netflix.
8. How did you become interested in 3?:
Looked hilarious and seriously relevant to my life as a community college student.
9. Who is your favorite actor in 4?:
very, very, extremely hard to answer. I’m going to say Bill Hader. I could pick someone from a past season, but, for obvious reasons, he’s the freshest in my mind (and totally deserving anyway).
10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2, or 5?:
30 Rock. Hence the “#1”
11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?
Well 30 Rock has more, but I’ve rewatched Parks a bajillion times so…
12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
In real life? Tina Fey. As a character… who the fuck knows.
13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 1?:
Liz would probably drop her sandwich on the subway track and then jump down to save it, but would obviously not make it out in time.
14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?:
Kind of but only if snl did a spoof.
15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple:
Liz and Josh. Idk. I miss Josh. He was cute. fkldajl.
16. Over all, which show has a better cast, 3 or 5?
Mad Men. The casting on Mad Men just cannot be beat.
17. Which has better theme music, 2 or 4?:
Parks and Rec. I just love it.
